animal lovers

axel saw a kitten hiding in a doorway on our street yesterday on the way to the store, it was still there on the way back surrounded by people staring, so he brought it home. we took it to the vet for a check up and she has now been wormed and bathed and has had blood tests for fiv and cat leukemia. she's still a little scared and likes jamming herself in small places, but she likes cuddles too and is slowly coming out of her shell.

update: the kitten has just about doubled in size and can't hide under the couch anymore, has been to sag harbor for 4th of july and doesn't know what to make of grass, has had 3 baths, tears around the apartment with new found confidence and is moving to brooklyn with us tomorrow. looks like she has found a home.
